Physical and chemical properties
Potassium aluminum sulfate, colorless crystal or powder. Odorless, slightly sweet and astringent, taste astringent. It loses crystal water by weathering in dry air and dissolves in humid air. Usage
Potassium aluminum sulfate is used as a sizing agent in the paper industry, and is used for paper sizing in combination with rosin emulsion to improve the water resistance of paper.
The pharmaceutical industry is used as a preservative, astringent and hemostatic agent. A certain concentration of aqueous solution can be used to prevent rice dermatitis. It is used as mordant, retarder and resist in printing and dyeing industry.
